Not a whole lot of active weather is anticipated for today. High pressure is pretty much in control keeping things relatively calm for the most part—especially out West. The only exception will be around the Great Lakes region where a few rain showers are expected for today.
RADAR: Interactive RadarA cold front associated with a weakening low pressure system just north of the Great Lakes will slowly push its way eastwards today. As the cold front sweeps its way across the Lakes, expect the threat of some showers across portions of the Ohio Valley, New York State, and across parts of the Michigan. Rain amounts will be on the light side. Temperatures too will be slightly cooler than average for this time of year.If you like it warm then you might want to think about heading out West today.
REGIONS: EAST | SOUTH | MIDWEST | WESTA ridge of High pressure is keeping things pretty warm and dry for lot of folks from Washington State down to Arizona (and of course all other places in between). Temperatures across the Pacific Northwest will be in the upper 80s while the Southwest will see temps in the 90s and even maybe the triple digits for today.
